WE WON THIS FIGHT! WE GOT ENOUGH SIGNATURES TO ADD ONTO BALLOT AND IT WAS APPROVED IN THE KEY WEST NOVEMBER 2007 ELECTION! VICTORY! "Wisteria Island Committee" (The Committee to Save Wisteria Island) this group has a new petition going out starting Monday July 30th which ends August 30th. They have one month! This petition can only have registered voters who reside in Key West sign. Signatures need to be confirmed so we cannot offer the petition on this site, but offer the person to contact in order for you to sign. 1,398 signatures are needed (10% of registered voters in Key West please tell your friends who live in Key West to phone: Bruce Ritson - 305 - 292-0532 It's up to the voters in Key West to save the island! There is no reason for Key West to annex the island other than to let the developers build 160 plus Million dollar condos and destroy one of the last open spaces Key West has left! |
